Program Summary:

This position supports tasking at the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Program Executive Office, Unmanned Aviation and Strike Weapons (PEO(U&W)), located in Patuxent River, MD.. PMA-266 is NAVAIR's Program office for Multi-Mission Tactical Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). Responsible to Program Executive Office, Unmanned Aviation and Strike Weapons, the program office has cognizance over the MQ-9 Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS), Expeditionary (MUX) Family of Systems (ACAT II) program. The program office is also responsible for emerging group 4 and 5 vertical lift platforms.

Job Summary:

KBR is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented a Systems Integration Lead to join our team. In this role, you will support the Air Vehicle team by performing analyses and executing projects involving engineering, testing, training, production, and sustainment issues. Tasks will include requirements analysis and traceability, problem/deficiency reporting, Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) tracking, researching technical solutions, conducting analyses of alternatives, and recommending courses of action.

Role and Responsibilities:

Interfaces with a variety of technical and program personnel to ensure the successful execution of program objectives.

Identify, assess and communicate integration technical and schedule risks to Integrated Product Team members and leadership.

Identifies potential courses of action to mitigate risks as it relates to integration of multiple capabilities.

Directs the development of comprehensive program plans to ensure fulfillment of requirements and planned progress.

Directs the preparation of documents, specifications, requirements, criteria and standards that define needs and parameters of the program.

Ensures that all planning is fully integrated with the overall program team effort and other participating services and agencies when involved.

Prepares briefings to support decisions and report progress with respect to program performance and schedule to required stakeholders.

Supports the Fleet on all integration related issues to include planning, installation, start-up, and troubleshooting

Plan, conduct, and technically directs projects or major phases of significant projects, coordinating the efforts of engineers and technical support staff

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science Degree plus a minimum of eight (8) years of operational, acquisition, and test experience with military aviation systems, including complex (hardware/software) aviation/aerospace systems integration.

An active Secret level security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret level clearance. Contract requires US Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in engineering or management preferred.

Familiarity with DoD aviation development, production, sustainment, and/or testing.

Knowledge of U.S. Government, DoD, and/or USN correspondence development practices, along with the ability to write formal engineering reports and construct briefing materials using MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Demonstrated experience at Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR).

Previous experience with military avionics systems.

Previous experience with unmanned aviation systems, particularly the MQ-9.

Experience with military aviation systems, either manned or unmanned.

Scheduled Weekly Hours:

40 hours/week

Compensation:

$137,280 - $205,810

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
