Responsibilities:
Basic SQL Server Administration:
* Installation, configuration, and maintenance of SQL Server instances (2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2022)
* Database creation, management, and backup/restore operations
* User and role management
* Troubleshooting common SQL Server issues
Database Design:
* Assist in designing and optimizing database structures
* Create and maintain indexes and stored procedures
Performance Tuning:
* Monitor SQL Server performance and identify bottlenecks
* Implement basic performance tuning techniques (e.g., indexing, query optimization)
Documentation:
* Maintain up-to-date documentation of SQL Server environments and procedures
Required Skills and Experience:
* Strong understanding of SQL Server fundamentals (T-SQL, database objects, data types)
* Experience with database backup and restore procedures
* Basic troubleshooting skills for SQL Server issues
* Familiarity with high availability concepts (e.g., mirroring, failover clusters)
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively
