Systems & Governance Accountant

Job Description:

Start fresh in 2025 and join our collaborative and pet passionate Finance Team at Royal Canin. Add a fresh perspective to the System & Governance Accountant position and bring your passion for pets and finance together.

You will work closely with the Financial Operations Manager to draft internal control policies, including implementation, regular review and improvement of existing controls and help drive strong governance across the business.

You will also be responsible for partnering with key users in each department to provide finance support for our ERP system, MS Dynamics Nav. This will involve approving access requests and ensuring adherence to organisational access standards. You will work with the Asia Pac Regional support and management teams to facilitate escalations and Continuous Improvement requests for Key Users.

What are we looking for?

Accounting experience in large corporate or professional services environment (would suit a first mover from Chartered)

Experience in any major accounting software platform (Microsoft Dynamics Navision desired but not essential)

Degree qualified within Finance/Accounting/Data

Ability to work as part of a team and being proactive, with a strong knowledge of general accounting procedures

Excellent planning & organisational skills; ability to organise workload

Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Knowledge of, and experience in core finance functional competencies

What will be your key responsibilities?

Develop a deep understanding of end-to-end finance processes and the key controls required to assure our business

Partner with the broader business to implement and maintain the Global Internal Controls program in the ANZ market

Draft internal control policies, procedures and instructions

Period reporting and review of systems to ensure strong governance

Train Navision key users on business processes and related Navision functionality. Create and update local training documents (as required)

Ensure on-time and high-quality delivery of period-end closing activities when required

Manage the internal audit process, when required, including collation of information to internal auditors, prepare remediation plans and close out internal audit observations

Lead any systems change management process, including the core alignment with global teams.
