Job Title: Systems Engineer (Integration)Job Description
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support the U.S. Navy's Strategic Systems Program (SSP) Office and the Trident II D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) program. The position involves assisting with the development of an updated version of the Trident Missile to support the Columbia submarine deployment.
Responsibilities
+ Support System Integration activities across the engineering lifecycle for a complex systems-of-systems, including mapping requirements to system attributes and interfaces.
+ Identify integration assessment characteristics from component-level development testing for use in system-level integration assessments.
+ Execute compatibility and interoperability assessments to ensure the system meets its intended mission(s).
+ Develop presentations and materials to support program reviews.
+ Attend meetings, including offsite meetings in Washington, DC or at subsystem development/testing facilities, as necessary to support tasks.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor of Science degree in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
+ 6+ years’ experience supporting systems engineering on large DoD programs.
+ Experience with conducting compatibility analysis of interface requirements.
+ Experience with integration of models, software, and/or hardware.
+ Proficient in conducting assessments and providing briefings or reports to leadership.
+ Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
+ Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience applying model-based Systems Engineering tools to develop digital engineering products.
+ Experience with various engineering tools/languages including PTC Windchill, IBM DOORS, 2D/3D CAD, SysML, and/or MATLAB Simulink.
+ Experience with the Navy SSP or Trident programs.
+ Familiarity with GoA Integration practices, including Integration Readiness Levels.
+ 2+ years of experience supporting systems engineering on large DoD programs.
Work Environment
You will work in an engineering-heavy environment with state-of-the-art Digital Engineering labs. Local travel to Washington, DC or subsystem development/testing facilities may be required for meetings.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $86.53/hr.
