About the Role
The Global Desktop Engineer is responsible for designing, planning, and implementing the enterprise end-user experience for Windows, MacOS, and other client platforms. The Desktop Engineer will contribute as a key member to projects dealing with the end-user experience and will build strong relationships within the business to ensure the success of these projects.
Requirements
Prior experience and confidence in troubleshooting and repairing Windows 10 and MacOS products.
Experience with Microsoft Intune and Jamf Pro device enrollment, monitoring, and management of devices.
Experience with PC/mobility architecture and operating system platforms (i.e. Windows 10, MacOS, iOS, and Android).
Knowledge of back-end infrastructure including Exchange/EAS, Active Directory and Azure AD including conditional access (MCAS) to control/secure access, features, and functionality.
Microsoft 365 administrative and application support.
Experience in running and communicating metrics and reporting
Support experience, knowledge and proficiency with use of Service Management tools for Incident, Problem and Change Management.
Support experience utilizing various operational tools including, but not limited to ServiceNow, SCCM, Intune, McAfee, AWS, or Azure.
Responsibilities
Position provides monitoring, troubleshooting, recovery, and problem escalation in a multi-platform desktop environment.
Designs, configures and implements complex desktop hardware and software solutions.
Researches, evaluates and recommends software and hardware solutions.
Troubleshoot to resolution Windows 10, Mac OSX, Microsoft Office 365, and other internal application software issues
Works with vendor support on evaluation and implementation of new technology.
Develop and implement complex technologies such as imaging services, endpoint protection, backup solutions and process automation.
Provide training and documentation for hardware and software solutions they support.
Develops expert knowledge of industry best practices and uses that knowledge to provide technical support to project team members.
