SPA's Integrated Warfare Systems Group (IWSG) comprises more than 100 staff that provide program and project management, systems and digital engineering, software, test & evaluation, logistics, cybersecurity, international/Foreign Military Sales, strategic communications, and IT support to more than 40 programs and projects in the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems, Above Water Sensors Directorate (PEO IWS 2.0) and customers in Naval Surface Warfare Dahlgren Division’s Integrated Combat System department, Office of Naval Research, and the Navy’s Team SUBS office.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will support the AN/SLQ-32(v)6 (SEWIP Blk 2) program within PEO IWS 2.0 Above Water Sensors Directorate. The candidate will provide systems engineering and hardware analysis to the SEWIP Blk 2 Principal Assistant Program Manager in support of Foreign Military Sales case studies.

 

A hybrid work environment is acceptable. Your primary work location will be SPA’s office in Washington, D.C.; however, you must have the ability to work from Washington Navy Yard, NSWC Dahlgren, and various DC area organizations 2-3 times per week and travel up to 25% of the time (2-3 times per month). International travel is likely.

 

Specific responsibilities include:  1) Develop tracking reports for elements and milestones, 2) Implementing SE management practices that include programmatic financial planning, analysis of hardware requirements, and contributing to various working groups (System Safety, Training, Hardware, software, etc), 3) Assess Program Protection Plans for Critical Program Information in relation to Foreign Sales cases, 4) Conduct feasibility studies and develop technical requirements for installation on allied vessels, and 5) Work with various stakeholders and field activities to develop integration and test plans, training plans and sustainment needs.

 

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only.  Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  Washington, DC Pay Transparency Range:  $105,000 – $160,000.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field5+ years of demonstrated experience providing engineering support in DoD environment including demonstrated experience with Systems Engineering and Foreign Military SalesDoD Secret clearance, and the ability to maintain this throughout employment

Desired Qualifications:
