Systems Engineer
**ManTech** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Systems Engineer** to join our team in **King George, VA** . This position is **onsite.** **Responsibilities include but are not limited to:** + Providing technical, engineering, and analytical services for Test and Evaluation (T&E) for Situational Awareness, Boundary Enforcement & Response (SABER) for navigation system software. The T&E effort supports the government’s responsibility to determine if the ship’s navigation system is protected from cyber-attack and ready to be delivered to the ship and certified for use in the fleet. + Evaluation of system level requirements, writing of test cases, scenarios, and test procedures to test the operational capabilities defined by the of the system requirements and defined mission threads, execution of the procedures, data analysis, and the creation of concise trouble reports to allow the system developers and subject matter experts to understand a recreate the problem identified and well as characterize the impact to the overall system capabilities. + Working within a contractor/ government integrated test team and supporting the customer with additional backup data, research and analysis to support the test findings and to support recommendations for software certification. + Up to 20% travel primarily to John Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) in Laurel, MD, and Wallops Island, VA to support meetings and test events and requires flexibility for short notice travel. **Minimum Qualifications:** + 3+ years general experience and knowledge of combat system test & evaluation + 3+ years Computer Software Engineering Experience in any of the following four (4) specific areas: 1) Test requirements definition; 2) Test Plan/Procedures development, maintenance, and execution; 3) Test data reduction, automation, and analysis 4) Computer program performance analysis and reporting + 2+ years of experience with developmental or operational systems/ computer program versions in effect in the past seven (7) years. Specifically, experience gained with real time Naval tactical and related support computer programs. + 2+ years of experience with cybersecurity situational awareness, boundary enforcement & response. + Solid background/ understanding of system software development. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in computer science + Previous experience with navigation systems + Knowledge of shipboard operations and procedures + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills **Clearance Requirements:** + Must be a US Citizen and have an active Secret clearance **Physical Requirements:** + Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time. + Occasional movement within the office for communication and accessing resources. + Traveling within the continental United States.
