Examples of Work Performed + Install, support, maintain, and monitor server and storage systems on-premise and cloud. + Ensure server, network, and storage environments are up-to-date with the most recent system patches/security updates and adheres to standards. + Problem-solve issues related to servers, connectivity, networking, printers, IIS web applications, virtualization, security, and directory services. + Work on configuration management processes and tools to create, enhance, and automate existing infrastructure to be secure and scalable. + Work on software roll-outs of both commercial and internally developed applications that may be complex and critical in nature. + Analyzes development and implementation requirements and makes appropriate modifications to existing systems and prepares specifications based on customer requests. + Support hardware load balancing and Windows Server clustering. + Evaluate software and hardware problems and recommend appropriate solutions. + Communicate technical information clearly and concisely, both verbal and written. + Assimilate information, develop plans, and recommend processes and procedures for server and storage administration. + Work after hours and on weekends, when necessary. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities + Operational and functional knowledge using/configuring Microsoft SQL Server Instances/Reporting & availability groups. + Operational and functional knowledge using IIS in an enterprise environment. + Experience with VMWare Virtual Servers and its associated hardware components. + Experience with Exchange and Active Directory administration. + Experience with Dell Data Domain backup solution. + Ability to author and troubleshoot PowerShell scripts. + Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a team. + Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to multitask. + Experience with vendor management. Minimum Qualifications A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, management information systems, business administration, education, communications, graphic arts, mathematics, statistics, geography, or engineering and three years of progressively responsible information systems experience. Progressively responsible information systems experience can be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required college education. Any combination of progressively responsible information systems experiences and post-secondary training in disciplines described above totaling seven years.
