The LEIDOS National Security Sector has an exciting opening for a Systems Engineer to join their dynamic team at Hickam AFB, Hawaii. The candidate will analyze and develop plans and designs for C5ISR JWICS systems capabilities and develop integration and implementation plans and schedules as well as evaluate and make recommendations concerning Commercial and Government Off the Shelf (COTS/GOTS) hardware and software applications. They will monitor the status of projects, prepare milestone reports, and present status reports to program managers and client staff. The chosen individual will provide technical and administrative support for systems installation, testing, administration, maintenance, and programming, as well as provide operation and maintenance support of CI5ISR systems including system engineering, troubleshooting, and repair of existing systems and/or networks. The candidate will also provide support to install and upgrade C5ISRO architectures as directed by the government.
Primary Responsibilities.
Analyze and develop plans and designs for theater-wide classified C4I systems capabilitiesDevelop C4I Systems integration and implementation plans and schedulesEvaluate and make recommendations concerning commercial and government off-the-shelf (COTS/GOTS) hardware and software applicationsMonitor the status of projects, prepare milestone status reports, and presents status to program managers and client staffServe as the PACAF Intelligence (JWICS) Systems Subject Matter Expert providing command-wide technical and administrative support/advice/concepts for systems installation, testing, administration, maintenance, and programming. Provide operational and maintenance support of C4I systems to include system administration, troubleshooting, and repairing of existing systems and/or networksProvide support to install and upgrade C4I architectures as directed by the governmentProvide innovative solutions developed through community collaboration and research.Possess state-of-the-art knowledge of the World Wide Web, Intelink, and intranet technology, processes, and applicationsHave a solid knowledge of network protocols, Windows, Linux, and UNIX operating systemsPossess current knowledge of DoD Information Security Policies and Programs for COMPUSEC and INFOSEC, multi-level security, and emerging information warfare conceptsUnderstand military operations, organizations, and operational information requirementsBe familiar with Air Force intelligence systems and joint programs such as GALE and GCCSMust be proficient with Microsoft Windows environment and family of software including Server 2003/2007/2012, VMWare, Exchange, Outlook, and SharePointMust possess good written and oral communication skills, be customer service oriented, and possess project management skills – Ability to brief complex problems/solutions to Government Senior Level Leaders (GO/FLAG/SES Level)Demonstrate an ability to methodically and proactively analyze complex problems and identify solutionsBasic Qualifications.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred) additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of degree.Current MCSE certification required4-8 years of experience in C4I/Engineer related activities (2-6 years with a master’s degree)TS/SCI Clearance required on day oneExperience configuring network devicesDoD 8570.01 IAT Level II – Security +Self-motivated with minimal supervisionPreferred Qualifications.
