We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join Endress+Hauser Optical Analysis, the global leader in Raman spectroscopy, tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS), and quenched fluorescence (QF) instrumentation for laboratory, process, and manufacturing environments. Our laser-based analyzer systems perform high-performance chemical composition and concentration measurement of all phases of matter in any installation environment.

 

What is the role about? 

The primary responsibility of the Systems Engineer will be to help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our rapidly expanding infrastructure. The ideal candidate for this position can prioritize mission critical tasks and coordinate the construction and expansion of our systems so updates and other maintenance tasks don’t get in the way of daily operations. We’re interested developing our systems to continually improve productivity and support lean processes throughout the company.

 

Which essential functions will you perform?

Implement and configure SAP solutions ECC 6.0 and S/4.Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to SAP.Develop and execute project plans, ensuring timely delivery within budget.Train end-users and technical staff on the use and best practices of SAP.Perform system performance analysis and suggest improvements to optimize operations.Stay updated with the latest features and updates of SAP.Document configurations, processes, and procedures related to SAP.Monitor existing systems to ensure structural integrity.Conduct training on operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of installed software systems.Support internal customers with the day-to-day operation of the company’s software systems.Write custom scripts to reduce the need for human intervention.Create custom reports.Perform routine data integrity checks.

What qualifications are needed?

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in the implementation and support of SAP.Modelling in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and Business Warehouse (BW).Knowledge of development in SAP Analytics environment, SAP Analytics planning being a plus.Programming experience in Visual Basic, SQL and object-oriented programming language (such as JavaScript and Python).Relevant SAP certifications are a plus.Must be organized, hard-working, and able to follow directions.A team player who values customer satisfaction.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Fluent English language skills are mandatory, German language skills beneficial.An ability to multi-task, set priorities, and simultaneously manage multiple projects.Must be able to work independently and in group settings.
