Axient is seeking a motivated and experienced senior Systems Engineer/Logistics Analyst to join our team in Tucson, AZ.
What you will do...Responsibilities
Provide Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) leadership, expert advice, and recommendations to the Standard Missile Program Office (PEO IWS 3A/3B), supporting activities, and prime/support contractors, to ensure that requirements pertaining to planning and execution of Life Cycle Sustainment for Standard Missile are understood, planned for, and delivered in support of program milestonesProvide Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) leadership, expert advice, and recommendations to the Standard Missile Program Office (PEO IWS 3A/3B), supporting activities, and prime/support contractors, to ensure that requirements pertaining to planning and execution of Life Cycle Sustainment for Standard Missile are understood, planned for, and delivered in support of program milestonesSupport the IWS 3A/3B Program Office by providing acquisition, engineering, technical analysis and subject matter expertise (SME) with Integrated Logistics Support for current and future system designs, development, architecting, testing, operations, and sustainment at Raytheon Technologies Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD), Tucson, AZAssist in acquisitions with Lifecycle Logistics subject matter expertise. Support all major program milestones (SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.), review Objective Evidence for all milestone entrance and exit criteria for Integrated Logistics Support impactsAssist in development of Request for Proposal documents, Fact finding and Technical Evaluation assistance, Performance Work Statement/Statement of Work documents, Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) documents, and other related documentsProvide logistics planning, analysis, assessment, requirements verification, technical writing and review of documentation, and integration for Standard Missile Programs in development, production, and sustainmentDevelop, assess, evaluate, and coordinate logistics planning documents to implement a logistics life cycle product support strategy for system fielding, Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP), sustainment concepts, technical manual (TM) verification, training plans, contractor Provisioning Parts List (PPL) and sparing, system support plans, etcRegularly participate in and facilitate integration/schedule/logistics forums for existing and emerging SM-6 Programs such as logistics working groups, Integrated Logistics Support Management Team (ILSMT), Fleet Support Working Groups, and provisioning conferences; report progress status/issues/potential impacts and resolution options; manage tasks/actions to closure; and capture information and present in an integrated schedule of events and milestones for senior leadership reviewSupport transition to operations and sustainment activities, and assess operations and maintenance readiness, operational acceptance decisions and Initial Operational Capability (IOC) declarationReviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentationProvide support to project management, proposal reviews, analysis, and funding recommendations and actionsCoordinate and collaborate across the Department of Defense and with other Government agencies, academia, and industry for situational awareness and information sharing Skills you will need...Required Skills and Experience:
Education: master’s degree in a STEM related fieldExperience: 20+ years of relevant experienceActive DoD Top Secret security clearance, which requires US Citizenship (Must have an active and transferrable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the required level. Must be able to maintain the required clearance.)Active additional proprietary program clearancesAbility to manage multiple and competing prioritiesAbility and willingness to travel, when required, to support oversight, meetings, reviews, etcProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointCapability to develop and present briefings related to integrated logistics support (ILS) specifications and requirements to peers and senior management level personnelFamiliarity and/or Experience with missile defense component development, test, production, and sustainmentExperience with supporting major weapon system design review activities – to include System Requirements Review, Preliminary Design Review, Test Readiness Review, and Critical Design ReviewProficiency in Defense Acquisition System (DoDI 5000.02)Proficiency in the 12 Integrated Product Support ElementsProficiency in requirements managementStrong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written), and presentation skillsDemonstrated ability to clearly articulate ideas, recommendations and options to customers, senior leaders, and stakeholdersStrong analytical skillsSelf-starter – Demonstrate independent ownership of tasking. Position affords opportunity to define path and lead tasks based on technical understanding of engineering community and appreciation of customer needs
