What You’ll Be Doing:
· Support application deployments and code releases across multiple environments.
· Maintain high system availability and performance during your regular shift and off-hours when needed.
· Perform daily health checks and monitoring of systems, services, and applications—analyzing logs, scheduled job completions, and resource utilization.
· Proactively seek out opportunities to automate recurring sysadmin tasks using PowerShell or other scripting tools.
· Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and source control tools like GitHub (Actions, Workflows, and integrations).
· Triage and troubleshoot complex issues, providing Tier II support in coordination with other teams when necessary.
· Administer and support key Microsoft infrastructure services—Active Directory, Office 365, IIS, FTP, virtualized environments (Hyper-V, VMware), and related tools.
· Monitor for and respond to security threats, intrusion attempts, and other risks in real time.
· Provide input into system architecture decisions, bringing forward your insights while being open to peer feedback.
· Participate in capacity planning, patch management, and performance tuning.
· Own and contribute to documentation including SOPs, runbooks, configuration standards, and compliance-related processes (e.g., PCI).
· Be a force multiplier by sharing knowledge and mentoring junior team members when possible.
What you need to be successful:
· Clear, confident communicator in English—both written and verbal.
· Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting issues in public cloud environments (primarily AWS; Azure is a plus).
· Proficiency with Windows Server (2012 through 2025), DNS, GPO, AD, VPN, IIS, FTP, PowerShell, and Office 365.
· Working knowledge of cloud networking (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, iSCSI, FC) and how it relates to on premise hardware.
· Experience with modern endpoint and mobile device management platforms (e.g., Microsoft Intune).
· Familiarity with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence).
· Understanding of system hardening, patching, and endpoint security tools (Microsoft Defender, etc.).
· Comfortable with enterprise backup and disaster recovery tools in AWS and/or Azure.
· Solid grasp of ticketing systems like ManageEngine, Jira, Zendesk, or BMS.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Teams telephony and remote management tools (e.g., Barracuda).
· Bonus: Experience with Application Firewalls in cloud environments (AWS WAF, Azure WAF).
