Kuiper Productivity Engineering (KPE) is seeking a motivated and autonomous builder to deliver results to our customers. This is a hands-on position where your daily activities will range from strategic planning to new system development to supporting the customers that depend on our services. Deliver consistent, well-defined results in an agile systems development workflow. To succeed in this role, you will deliver reliable, scalable, controlled working environments built on AWS.
Key job responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with customers to understand their unique use cases and implement tailored solutions
- Develop automation to streamline upgrades and testing of Tier-1 services
- Implement and improve observability measures across the team's infrastructure
- Lead, refine, and automate the upgrade process for services like Atlassian and Nextcloud
- Manage File Storage solutions
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for all managed systems
- Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment and updates
- Apply DevOps best practices to improve system reliability, scalability, and security
- Troubleshoot complex issues across various platforms and services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure improvements with business needs
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in system administration and DevOps
- Document processes, configurations, and system architectures
- Mentor junior team members in system administration and DevOps practices
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 system availability and support

In this role, you will function as a DevOps Engineer. You will operate and support the team's services, as well as developing automation for upgrades/patching/testing, and enhance observability of the systems. You will work with stakeholders and senior engineers to design and develop custom solutions and integrations between tools and other services in a secure manner.
