Systems Analyst Manager

Position Summary

Responsible for overseeing and managing all Resort and Casino’s Gaming, Financial, Resort, Human Resource Systems, and affiliated hardware. Provides Strategic direction, determines business requirements, conduct’s process analysis and prioritization. Ensures reliability, availability, and security of the Casino and Resort Operational Data.  Promotes and exhibits world class guest service to all the Sandia Resort and Casino employees and guests.

 Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Manages Gaming System Analysts, System Analysts II, Tribal Government Systems Analyst II for Gaming, Resort, Financial, and Tribal positions. Initiates and administers supervisory employment actions and responsibilities in accordance with the Sandia Resort and Casino’s policies, SOPs, and applicable laws. Interviews, hires, and trains employees. Plans, assigns, and directs work to employees. Rewards and disciplines employees. Promotes, demotes, and reassigns employees Addresses complaints and resolves problems. Manages the software procurement process for all System Analyst software. Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned schedule each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo Sandia.

This position has Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) identified as a measurement of success.  KPI’s will be shared with all team members who work in this job title and feedback will be provided regarding the successful completion of the KPI’s as part of the performance review process.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Designs, implements, administers corporate application systems and performs advanced level support. Ensures the integrity, functionality, and security of all assigned applications. Responsible for ensuring 100% compliance with system backup and internal controls including regular monitoring of backup jobs for success, failures, and/or problem mitigation. Responsible for all systems to assure proper controls are in place and being followed. Excellent technical skills, attention to detail and ability to adhere to deadlines Develops and maintains application security policies and procedures. Evaluates existing business application systems effectiveness and capabilities to ensure adherence with organizational goals and objectives. Researches and recommends new application systems and upgrades. Manages the daily activities and responsibilities of the application systems department. Ensures all application systems are at 100% up time and available when required.  Develops the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans to ensure this requirement. Conducts system outage analysis and prepares after action reports to prevent the reoccurrence of incidents. Ensures timely and efficient resolutions of application systems calls and work orders. Reviews, analyzes and coordinates projects and upgrades, serves as project manager for all Application Systems. Responsible for documenting and maintaining detailed inventories for all application system and maintenance contract. Plans for technological obsolescence of application systems hardware/software. Responsible for documenting, implementing and administering change control processes and ensuring application revisions are tracked and documented. Performs thorough application security assessments to identify and mitigate any potential security vulnerabilities on an annual basis. Develops continuous training and ensures knowledge of all company systems. Ensures department is properly staffed and motivated to exceed the Sandia Resort and Casino’s goals and objectives. Ensures an open and welcoming atmosphere that promotes skill enhancement.  Greets guests, maintains a friendly and inviting atmosphere, and promotes positive guest relations through prompt, courteous, and efficient service. Ability to create an environment of teamwork.

   Education And Experience 

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field. Three (3) years progressively more responsible IT management related experience including supervising a helpdesk, application support, infrastructure          support and network support personnel. Knowledge and experience working in project management and implementations of technology solutions including business application projects. Or equivalent combination of education, direct experience, in this occupation should at a minimal total seven (7) years.

Preferred

Two (2) years working knowledge SQL Server Administration, preferred. Microsoft MCP and Project Management certifications.

License/Certifications/Registrations

Must be able to obtain and maintain the required STGC Gaming License. Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening.

List Working Conditions Required

Work is performed indoors. Work hours subject to odd and unusual hours, including weekends, overtime and being on call. Must be able to work long hours under stressful conditions. Subject to hazards which may cause personal bodily harm: smoke, common colds, influenza, dust, odors and elevated noise levels. Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard and soft carpeted floors, cement structures and surfaces. Duties may involve walking, standing for long periods of time, sitting and crouching.
