Systems Administrator
Description Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, and network components. Manage Active Directory, Group Policies, and user permissions. Monitor system performance, security, and network activity to prevent potential issues. Ensure data backup, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity measures are in place. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently. Implement system updates, patches, and security enhancements. Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Collaborate with other IT professionals to implement new technologies and improve efficiency. Provide technical support to employees and train users on best IT practices. Manage cloud services, virtualization technologies, and on-premises infrastructure. Assist in IT audits, compliance checks, and security risk assessments. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role. Proficiency in Windows and/or Linux environments. Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.). Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls). Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus. Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) is a plus. Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or Cisco CCNA are preferred.
