The selected candidate will join our Information Services team and have an important role in supporting our mission of Strategic Deterrence through continual improvement and innovation. The position will have the following duties and responsibilities: + Deploy and configure Linux applications and services + Installation of various COTS and GOTS software applications + Software licensing and server certification + Testing application functionality and ensuring proper and up-to-date security configurations + Software removal from networks + Responsible for training other team members on current business practices and documentation of Standard Operating Procedures + Perform software version upgrades + Provide Systems Administration for Linux/RHEL operating systems + Implement and test software patches and security fixes + Perform installation, configuration, hardening, and testing for new/updated system changes + Develop, execute, and improve documentation for installation, configuration, hardening, and operations and maintenance tasks + Document activities, status, and issues worked + Provide input to and follow direction from Configuration Management processes + Ensure adherence to IT infrastructure standards, policies, and procedures + Assist in performing root cause analysis and resolving faults and errors in systems and applications **What's In It For You** + Competitive wages + Medical + Dental + 401k + Paid time off + Work/life balance + Career development + Tuition reimbursement + Mentorship opportunities + Rewards and recognition **Work Location** Hill Air Force Base, Utah **Travel** <10% **US Citizenship Required** _Pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship._ **Clearance Requirement** This position requires an active final Secret or higher clearance upon hire date. An active Top Secret clearance is preferred. **Certification Requirement** The applicant must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certification requirements on hire date. \#ASFS #SITCS #CRV2024 **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** **Education and Experience Requirements are as follows:** A technical degree in computer science, or other related IT degree, and years of relevant experience for this position are as follows: + HS diploma and 11 years of related experience, or + BS/BA and 7 years of related experience, or + MA/MS with 5 years of related experience Experience and skills in the following: + Strong proficiency with Linux operating systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) + Strong understanding of IT principles, including operating systems, networking, and database management + Experience with Linux operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders + Proactively managing and prioritizing multiple related projects, assignments, timelines, milestones, and follow-up communications + Troubleshoot and resolve daily support tickets including end-user support via phone, email, and remote control + Utilize DISA STIG checklists to assess and document compliance + Ability to work in a team environment and follow established procedures and protocols + Any other duties as assigned **Certification Requirement** The applicant must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certification requirements on hire date. **Clearance Requirement** This position requires an active final Secret clearance upon hire date. An active Top Secret clearance is preferred. **US Citizenship Requirement** _Pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship._ **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:** (Not necessarily required, but will increase consideration for the position): + DevOps experience deploying and implementing software services and APIs + Red Hat Enterprise Linux installation, configuration, and troubleshooting + Experience updating and administrating applications on RHEL servers + Desire to help team build and share learned skills + Experience with security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption, and knowledge of security best practices + Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards, such as ISO 9001 or NIST + General understanding of vulnerability scanning software + General understanding of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) + Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), and experience with cloud migration and deployment + Knowledge of load balancing/failover technologies + Knowledge of migrating and/or extending on-premises software to the cloud + AWS Cloud Certification is a preferred **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $77814 - $132283 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
