Plan, design and implement smart technology solutions in line with CPS goals, to ensure seamless integration into the existing system and evaluate selected smart technology platforms and tools.
Ensure access control to campus and the organisational system is fully functional and caters for all users.
Oversee all technical projects from beginning to end to ensure all required documentation, schedules, meetings and processes are in place and adhered to.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to smart technology.
Analyse and identify problems faced by users in smart technology usage.
Explain complex technical concepts in simple terms for better user comprehension
Provide timely and effective solutions to users' technical queries.
Conduct training sessions for users to understand and utilize smart technology effectively.

Brief Description1. Knowledge and understanding of operational security architecture in order to ensure a seamless integration with ICT processes.

1.1 Contextual security architecture
Develop CPS processes that align with the overall business strategy.
Ensure security alignment with industry regulations, compliance requirements and risk tolerance.

1.2 Conceptual Security Architecture
Develop a CPS framework that outlines the overall approach to technical security.
Ensure framework encapsulates prevention, detection, and corrective controls.
Ensure the architecture incorporates Incorporate security policies, SOPs, and other applicable processes.
Ensure the architecture incorporates goals, objectives, and principles.

1.3 Logical Security Architecture
Divide operational security by function and assign responsibilities to individuals to effectively manage and monitor the systems.

1.4 Physical Security Architecture
Ensure optimal operations of physical security measures such as cards, biometrics scanners, surveillance cameras, alarm systems.

1.5 Component Security Architecture
Identify and outline individual components of technical security such as hardware devices, software applications, network systems. Etc.
Ensure each component is designed, implemented, and managed in a way that aligns with the technical security objectives.
Develop a monitoring, assessing, and reporting mechanism in order to identify any vulnerabilities in order to take appropriate mitigation measures

2. Plan, design and implement smart technology solutions in line with CPS goals, to ensure seamless integration into the existing system and evaluate selected smart technology platforms and tools.

2.1 Milestone & HikCentral
Document all applicable operational features of Milestone/HikCentral.
Ensure all cameras are functional, focusing where they should, have a clear view and are maintained as per SLA.
Ensure the health status check on each platform is fully functional and consistently provide system status at agreed upon intervals.

2.2 iSentry
Ensure all analytics rules are fully functional and integrated with other technical equipment such as cameras.
Ensure line-crossings are active where they have been implemented.

2.3 Drones
Explore the integration of drone function in smart technology.
Conduct continuous research on how the integration of drones in daily operations.
Be up to date with legal and regulatory implications and requirements of drones.

2.4 BriefCam
Ensure Brie/Cam is optimally accessed and utilized.
Ensure users are u.e to date with the new developments and software upgrades/updates.

2.5 Chase
Identify and document all features of Chase.
Ensure all features are fully functional and optimally used.
Advise Operations on less utilization of chase features and ensure necessary support is in place.

3. Ensure access control to campus and the organisational system is fully functional and caters for all users.

3.1 CSGold
Oversee and advise TSS on the functionality and integration of SIEMS, HRM, meals, Parking, financials and IDB.

3.2 Visitors Management System
Provide information regarding the health status of VMS and whether TSS makes necessary follow ups on complaints received.
Ensure software and licenses are up to date.

4. Oversee all technical projects from beginning to end to ensure all required documentation, schedules, meetings and processes are in place and adhered to.
Manage projects related to the development and implementation of smart technology solutions.
Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget Coordinate with various teams and stakeholders to achieve project goals.

5. Oversee the alarm installations, functionality and health status check.

5.1 Watch Manager Determine whether alarms are attended as required by Watch Manager.
Determine whether Operators are able to use the system and recommend training if needs be, including technical and non-technical audiences.
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

6. Innovation and Research
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in the smart technology space.
Conduct research to identify new opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Propose and implement new technologies to enhance organizational capabilities.

7. Data analytics and Interpretation
Utilize data analytics tools to extract meaningful insights from smart technology-generated data.
Interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
Implement data-driven strategies to optimize smart technology performance.

8. User training and Support
Provide training to end-users on smart technology systems and applications.
Provide ongoing support to resolve issues and ensure smooth operation.
Gather user feedback and make recommendations for improvement.

9. Collaboration and Communication
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align smart technology initiatives with overall business objectives.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
Requirements:

Grade 12 minimum (Matric) or equivalent NQF level
Diploma in IT
Certificate in Security Design and Implementation
Industry related certificate (e.g. Technical Certification from AWS, Gallagher, Milestone, Avigilon).
5-7 years work related experience.
