Title: System Security Engineer
Location: Belgrade, Serbia
Grade: 10
Responsibilities and Duties:
Patch Management: Implementing timely patches to keep our systems up-to-date and secure against known vulnerabilities. Testing the deployment of said patches, to prevent adverse impact and make sure that the target systems are not negatively impacted by the distribution of software. Distributing and installing the patches on the relevant target systems using software distribution tools (Altiris, AirWatch/Workspace One, CloudIQ, etc.) and custom scripts.Vulnerability Management: Identifying, assessing, and prioritizing security vulnerabilities to mitigate potential risks effectively. Planning and executing mitigations and remediations for discovered vulnerabilities.Baseline and Hardening: Establishing and maintaining security baselines, ensuring systems are configured to the highest security standards. Taking corrective actions where configurations are not in accordance with customer security policies.Antivirus Management: Managing and monitoring antivirus solutions to detect and eliminate malicious software, ensuring our systems are protected against malware attacks. Making sure that all antivirus components are up to date. Reviewing incidents and alerts to find and remove real threats.Work with other IT teams to solve information security system problems and issues.Respect NCR procedures, as well as the team’s internal procedures.Perform other corresponding duties and tasks in accordance with qualifications.Support daily and/or OOH activities on request in accordance with pre-defined plans.Qualifications:
Proven experience in cyber security roles, showcasing expertise in Patch Management, Vulnerability Management, Baseline and Hardening, and Antivirus Management.Strong knowledge of cyber security principles, technologies, and best practices.Proficiency in scripting languages and knowledge of Windows/Linux systems administration is mandatory.Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), or similar are highly desirable.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Nice to Have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Experience working with tools such as Altiris, CloudIQ, Workspace One, and Defender, enhancing your ability to optimize and streamline security operations.Offers of employment are conditional upon passage of screening criteria applicable to the job
