POSITION SUMMARY:
The Systems Engineer 1 is responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure. This includes the implementation and design of hardware and software. This role monitors the performance of systems. This role is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field and relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The Systems Engineer 1 works under general supervision and requires a certain degree of creativity and latitude.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Performs detailed analysis of problems, performance and capacity for critical systems and develop appropriate corrective or proactive actions.Acts as a front-line interface to users, accepting trouble reports and dispatching them to appropriate system administrators.Develops and tests changes in non-production environments.Documents system processes and procedures.Actively participates in both formal and informal System Engineer training opportunities.ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
