Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

System Administration (Approximately 70% of the role)

Oversee and manage server-related tasks.
Administer and operate various Windows Server technologies, including Hyper-V, Citrix, SCCM, Active Directory, and AWS.
Regularly monitor and evaluate the performance and stability of the IT server infrastructure, leveraging global tools to inform improvements.
Ensure timely and clear reporting of issues and progress to management.
Develop and update thorough system documentation, such as diagrams, standards, and procedures.
Collaborate with customers, vendors, and other internal teams.
Provide level 2 technical support, resolving escalated issues from users or other support teams.
Maintain consistent communication with management regarding technical issues and escalations.

Project Coordination (Approximately 30% of the role)

Manage and coordinate a variety of small-scale infrastructure projects, including servers, networks, and PCs.
Define project objectives and deliverables, and devise a detailed project plan in collaboration with Group IT or relevant stakeholders.
Conduct technical evaluations to determine the viability of project approaches.
Oversee project execution, offering guidance, feedback, and issue escalation as necessary.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

- 2+ years’ experience of Windows Server administration
- Broad understanding of IT infrastructure
- Excellent communication skills with good written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English (often discussion or meeting with Group IT colleagues WW)
- Experience of working in a multinational and fast-paced environment, ability to work in a global team with colleagues located in Asian and Western countries Who are we?
