KeyBanc Capital Markets’ Syndicated & Leveraged Finance is responsible for originating, structuring, underwriting, and distributing syndicated loans.  As an Associate in Syndicated & Leveraged Finance, you will work with seasoned professionals analyzing and identifying optimal capital structure solutions for clients spanning a wide variety of sizes and industries.  Our Associates play an integral role throughout the life of a transaction and will have the opportunity to develop a diverse set of financial, analytical and communication skills. 

Responsibilities:

Perform financial modeling and financial statement analysisEvaluate debt capacity for companies in a variety of industriesLead the preparation of financing views, term sheets, and marketing materialsPrepare presentation materials and participate in client/investor meetingsConduct due diligence processes internally and externallyCoordinate communication across numerous internal and external partiesEnsure transaction efficiency, managing up and down to ensure timely executionManage analyst workflow and assure timing of deliverables

Profile Required

2+ years of experience in Investment Banking, Debt Capital Markets, or related field (prior syndication and/or leveraged finance experience preferred)Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of informationHave or willing to obtain Series 79 and Series 63 within six months of employmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsWell organized and able to efficiently manage projectsAbility to multi-task and meet time sensitive deadlinesAbility to present to clients, investors and senior members of the firmDesire to work in team environment and ability to work collaboratively with junior and senior team members.Strong attention to detail and ability to manage workload.Must be proficient in the use of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $125K to $200K annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience, education, licenses, and certifications. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
