Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Finance will serve as a strategic financial leader, responsible for overseeing the Bank’s comprehensive financial modeling functions. This includes the development and execution of forecasting, budgeting, strategic and capital planning, market and profitability analysis, and M&A and transaction-related modeling.
The SVP will partner cross-functionally with senior executives and business unit leaders to ensure alignment and consistency in enterprise financial reporting and data utilization. By delivering clear, actionable insights into key performance indicators and financial trends, the SVP will play a pivotal role in shaping strategic direction and supporting critical decision-making across the organization.
This is a high-impact, highly visible position that will influence both day-to-day financial operations and long-term business strategy, reinforcing the financial strength and competitive positioning of the Bank.
Primary Responsibilities
+ Lead the firm’s financial modeling, including forecasting, budgeting, strategic planning, market analysis, profitability analysis, M&A modelling, and other transaction analysis.
+ Enhance the Bank’s enterprise data integrity through ensuring the consistency and accuracy of reported data across the organization.
+ Build the FP&A team through internal and external hires in order to create a best-in-class function.
+ Champion the adoption of appropriate technology across the organization to drive efficiency, accuracy, and the minimization of manual processes. Iterate and adapt the Bank’s processes and systems as needed to support continuous evolution.
+ Design and lead the monthly department budget review process, providing detailed reporting and insights to senior business leaders across the firm to better enable strategic decision making.
+ Work closely with the CFO to create financial and strategic presentations for the board of directors, senior leadership, partnership and external constituencies.
+ Enhance the Bank’s approach to measuring and reporting on profitability by business line, product, distribution channel, and other relevant factors.
+ Develop and improve the financial reporting and business analysis framework; enhance reporting techniques and tools and collaborate with Technology to innovate and automate reporting processes ensuring completeness and accuracy of data used across the organization.
+ Synthesize relevant industry and peer company research and analysis for distribution to relevant parties across the Bank.
+ Lead and advise on strategic transactions and other special projects both within Finance and across the Bank.
Position Requirements
+ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or similar areas of study; MBA and/or CFA a plus.
+ 15 years of progressively responsible finance experience with a Bank or other financial services provider.
+ 1-3 years of professional services experience in investment banking or consulting.
+ Experience with bank core systems providers (Fiserv, FIS, COCC, Jack Henry, etc.) and other financial technology vendors highly valued.
+ Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor as well as experience resolving complex business problems.
+ Strategic mindset combined with outstanding hands-on technical proficiency in financial modeling.
+ Mature leadership skills that emphasize a progressive, collaborative, energetic, and service-oriented environment. Must have a track record and methodology for building high-performing teams.
+ Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
+ Experience evaluating and executing strategic transactions.
+ Strong interpersonal skills, able to effectively interact with all levels in the organization and externally including, fellow senior executives, external advisors, Directors, regulators and other outside parties.
+ High level of personal ethics and integrity.
+ Passionate about leveraging technology to positively influence productivity.
+ Expert level of fluency with Excel; intermediate level of fluency with PowerPoint.
