Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving sustainability performance in your assigned area of responsibility. Each day, you will support the implementation of the group-wide sustainability strategy and business-specific priorities by applying in-depth knowledge and offering solutions and advice. You will also showcase your expertise by providing feedback to the management and employees on lessons learned and best practices from within your own unit and across ABB.The work model for the role is: hybrid. #LI-hybrid. This role is contributing to the division Motion System Drives and Motion Traction in Baden and Untersiggenthal, Switzerland. You will be mainly accountable for:•\tPreparing and optimizing process documentation and guidelines for the environmental management system, while ensuring sustainability requirements are integrated into local construction projects.•\tIdentifying and implementing improvement measures in energy efficiency and sustainability, and contributing ideas for continuous improvement.•\tEnsuring and supporting adequate employee training, the role of Dangerous Goods Officer at ABB sites in Untersiggenthal and Baden, and reporting on environmental KPIs in collaboration with the local site sustainability manager.•\tCollaborating and promoting behavioral change by working closely with internal stakeholders and locally implementing Group-wide and business-specific sustainability programs and practices.
Qualifications for the roleYou hold a degree in Environmental Science or a comparable field, with extensive knowledge of sustainability principles and environmental systems.You posses an enhanced knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 standards, and highly adept in applying them in environmental management systems.You are passionate about teamwork and innovative around effective communication in cross-functional settings.You have established skills in waste management and handling hazardous substances or you are captivated by the opportunity to familiarize yourself with these crucial environmental topics.You are at ease communicating in German at a C1 level and English at a B1 level or higher.You hold current work visa valid in Switzerland (EU/EFTA).
