Job Description
Responsible for assisting a Crew Chief in the operation of a field survey crew. Major objectives are the quality (accuracy, thoroughness, meeting regulatory requirements, public relations) of work, safety, and maintenance of equipment. Must operate equipment, maintain a safe work environment, protect and maintain the equipment and vehicles, accurately and efficiently collect field data and locate features. Some overnight travel may be required. Requires a lot of walking outside year-round through all kinds of terrain and in extreme heat and cold.
ResponsibilitiesAssist the Crew Chief in operating a field survey crew.Ensure the quality of work including accuracy, thoroughness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.Maintain public relations and uphold safety standards.Operate and protect survey equipment and vehicles.Accurately and efficiently collect field data and locate features.Maintain a safe work environment.Perform tasks in various terrains and extreme weather conditions.Travel overnight as required.Essential SkillsOne (1) to two (2) years of progressive experience in land survey field operations.Proficiency with land survey equipment (total stations) and GPS.Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit.Excellent problem-solving skills.Motivated to learn and develop a career path.Aligned to core values.Sound functional and technical skills in the role.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Good technical skills.Process-oriented behavioral traits including being steady, helpful, analytical, a problem solver, methodical, consistent, detail-oriented, precise, and structured.EFB data collection experience preferred.Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.Cleared BG check and negative drug test result.Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
