Are you an experienced Surveyor with a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring project success? Hire Resolve is looking for a skilled Surveyor to join our client’s team in Wellington, WC.

If you have experience in planning, managing teams, maintaining plant equipment, and overseeing surveying tasks, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Planning & Coordination

Plan daily activities and ensure materials are available for trench work. Monitor progress and report on targets. Expose and locate existing services before work begins.

Labour Management

Provide team leaders and operators with necessary information. Maintain team discipline and open communication channels. Train students and tachi-sighters.

Plant Management

Ensure the safekeeping and accuracy of survey equipment. Regularly check instruments and report on maintenance needs. Report any downtime or mechanical issues.

Surveying

Check benchmarks, beacons, and connections for accuracy. Report discrepancies and ensure proper line and level for each team. Monitor pipeline work for deviations and ensure recovery of survey materials.

Cost Management

Measure daily work and complete costing sheets. Allocate costs for fuel and labor.

Contractual Management

Set out work accurately according to plans and company standards. Record as-built data and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Public Relations

Foster strong relationships with engineers and clients. Be aware of public access and potential issues related to the site. Requirements: Previous experience as a Surveyor with a strong focus on planning, surveying, and team management. Familiarity with using and maintaining survey equipment and tools. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members, engineers, and clients. Ability to work independently while adhering to safety and quality standards.
