We are actively searching for a Survey Technician II to join our dynamic team in Harrisburg, PA. As part of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting municipal, water and wastewater, transportation, and land development survey projects. 

Key Responsibilities:

Project Preparation & Analysis

               o Gather and organize project documents to streamline survey processes

               o Collect and review property records to establish boundaries for properties, rights of way, and easements

Technical Execution

               o Perform calculations and drafting using Autodesk Civil 3D to ensure seamless field-to-finish capabilities in collaboration with a CAD Survey Technician

               o Conduct field data collection with survey instruments such as Trimble Total Stations, GNSS Receivers, and Digital/Automatic Levels

               o Analyze survey data in Trimble Business Center to ensure accuracy and quality

Mapping & Documentation

               o Prepare survey maps, property descriptions, and exhibits, confirming accuracy and completeness

               o Review and interpret record plans, including those related to land development, railroads, and rights of way

               o Prepare or direct the creation of Land Title and As-Built plans

Collaboration & Communication

               o Work closely with the Professional Land Surveyor to review property lines, survey data, and mapping outcomes

               o Maintain well-organized records and ensure proper care of survey equipment

               o Foster strong relationships with clients and the community, serving as a positive representative of the firm

Requirements

  

High school diploma with 5+ years of varied field experience in land surveying Associate’s Degree in Surveying or related field is beneficialProfessional Surveyor License or desire/plan to obtain license is a plus, but not requiredWorking knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center Office, Microsoft Suite programs, survey equipment and coordinate geometry conceptsKnowledge of MicroStation, Leica Cyclone 3DR, Pix4D Mapper, and DJI software a plusTeam player that is self-motivated, can work independently, and has excellent planning skillsStrong communication (verbal, written, and listening) and records organizational skillsThis position will require the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrainMust have the flexibility to travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices requiring overnight or weekly travelValid U.S driver’s license is requiredHas the legal right to work in the U.S.
