Survey Crew ChiefJob Description We are looking for a Survey Crew Chief to join our team in Westfield. This is a long-term opportunity for a crew chief who could move up through the ranks quickly. Our projects include commercial, industrial, and residential work, with an eye towards supporting transportation projects in the future. Responsibilities + Perform fieldwork for topography, boundary, and ALTA surveys + Conduct construction layout tasks with precision + Read and interpret construction plans accurately + Complete survey computations with a high degree of accuracy + Process fieldwork and maintain clear, detailed field notes + Utilize Trimble surveying equipment + Maintain survey equipment, ensuring it is in optimal working condition Essential Skills + 2+ years of professional experience as a Survey Crew Chief OR 3+ years of experience as an instrument operator + Experience performing construction layout, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and ALTA surveys + Willingness to submit to a drug test and MVR check + Ability to live within a 60-75 minute radius of Westfield, IN Additional Skills & Qualifications + Any AutoCAD experience is a plus + Must have a good driving record Work Environment This role involves working outside in the field on survey projects, with a lot of autonomy. You will come to the office every day to pick up your truck. Typical hours start at 7:00 am every day, with 40+ hours each week. Benefits include healthcare, PTO/holiday pay, 401k programs, bonuses distributed through the department, and a company truck. You will be home almost every night, with little to no weekend work (having worked only three Saturdays in four years). Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
