What you will do:

Identifies and obtains the required surgical instrumentation, equipment and supplies required for surgical procedures based on physicians request and the needs of patient; exchanges drug trays as needed under the direction of licensed medical staff.  Inspects, properly cares for and handles surgical instrumentation and equipment appropriately.Performs scrub responsibilities according to physician's preference and hospital policies and procedures.  Anticipates, and is attentive to, the surgeon's needs for instruments, ligatures, sponges, irrigation, etc. during the surgical procedure.Demonstrates the skills necessary to provide a safe environment and communicate effectively with all age groups of patients – pediatric through geriatric.

What you will need:

Graduate of an approved surgical technology programCurrent CPR certification from the American Heart AssociationPrevious experience in surgery or on-the-job experienceCertification in surgical technology preferred
