Job Responsibilities:

The Surgical Technologist CVOR acts as a resource in an Inova Fairfax Medical Campus CVOR. Assists OR Service Leader to ensure unit compliance with quality, safety, regulatory requirements, and JCAHO standards.  Demonstrates leadership traits and supporting behavioral competencies.  Assists the OR Service Leader in analyzing data, ensuring team adherence to performance standards, and improving processes continuously.  Serves as primary liaison and information resource for specialty.  Oversees the provision of therapeutic care in a holistic, evidence-based environment that produces excellent patient care with optimal patient outcomes.  Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others. 

 

Requirements for Consideration:

Certification - Basic Life Support upon start; Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) via NCCT Surgical Technologist registration via Commonwealth of Virginia at time of hire Licensure - None required Experience - 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience in cardiac surgery Education - High School diploma or equivalent
