About the Position: The Patient Educator is responsible for conducting comprehensive pre-operative assessments and providing patient education to ensure optimal preparation for surgery. Utilizing the nursing process, this role delivers high-quality, cost-effective care without compromising patient outcomes. The Patient Educator serves as a key resource within the perioperative team, performing all types of pre-operative evaluations to support patient readiness and enhance surgical outcomes. This position plays a vital role in streamlining the perioperative process, improving overall efficiency for both patients and medical center staff while promoting patient-centered care and informed decision-making. What we are looking for: + Associate’s degree in nursing (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school. + Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Minnesota. + Six months to one year of relevant clinical experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. + Proficient computer skills. + Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
