Support Engineer I (Pulte Mortgage)

Summary

The Support Engineer 1 will provide frontline IT support and assistance in managing technology assets. This role combines technical troubleshooting, customer service, and administrative support to ensure smooth IT operations and efficient asset management

This is a full-time in office role, Monday-Friday. The location is Englewood, CO.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.

Respond to service desk tickets, emails, and phone requests promptly and professionally.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.

Assist users with login issues, application errors, and basic networking problems.

Document solutions and maintain accurate records of support activities.

Assist with imaging, configuration, and deployment of laptops and desktops.

Assist in tracking and managing IT assets, including inventory updates, equipment checkouts, and returns.

Maintain asset databases with procurement, tagging, and deployment of new devices.

Maintain asset databases, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.

Help in disposing of obsolete or damaged equipment following company policies.

Perform regular audits of equipment and software to ensure compliance with licensing and security policies.

Deliver exceptional customer service by maintaining a positive, patient, and professional demeanor in all interactions.

Communicate technical information clearly and effectively to non-technical users.

Follow up with users to ensure their issues are fully resolved and that they are satisfied with the support provided.

Manage customer expectations by providing accurate timelines for issue resolution and keeping them informed of progress.

Actively listen to user concerns, empathize with their needs, and strive to provide timely and effective solutions.

Handle escalations with grace, ensuring that unresolved issues are promptly referred to higher-level support when necessary.

Required Experience

Basic understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and remote desktop tools.

Familiarity with SCCM or similar product for imaging and software delivery.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and within a team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, particularly in asset tracking.

Ability to work independently in a quiet environment.

Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.

Required Skills/Knowledge

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in IT or a related field is preferred.

Experience: 1+ years of experience in desktop support or a related IT support role.

Certifications: CompTIA A+, or equivalent certifications are a plus.

This is an in-office position.

Pay Range: $60,000 - $65,000

This position is also eligible for an annual bonus based on successful completion of defined performance objectives.
