Summary THIS IS A NORTH DAKOTA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This ND National Guard position is for a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, Position Description Number D0849000 and is part of the ND G4, National Guard. Responsibilities As a Supply Technician, the purpose is to provide storage and distribution, cataloging or supply identification systems, property utilization, or other related supply activities including those associated with automated or manual supply accounting systems. Performs routine and nonroutine material coordination duties for special programs, maintenance, or production shops. Responsible for local management of decentralized and decontrolled items which requires technical intervention to assure effective supply support and economy. Responsible for limited aspects of storage management. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications PCS STATEMENT: PERMANENT CHANGE OF STATION COSTS WILL NOT BE PAID FOR THIS POSITION. MILITARY GRADES: Warrant Officers (CW3 and below) and Enlisted: E7 and below QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience and/or training must show possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have the experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Knowledge of basic or commonly applied rules, procedures, or operations such as, filling out, posting, filing, controlling, or coding documents and/or transactions. Experience using computer and automation systems/programs to input, track, and pull data. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have the required one year of specialized experience at the GS-6 grade level or civilian equivalent, which includes; 1) Knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment, 2) Conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts; and 3) Experience coordinating with other offices/sections to complete supply issues and transactions. You must also possess the experience, training or education to support your claim for the competency statements listed within the assessment questionnaire. Education To receive credit for education, you must provide supporting documentation of proof that you meet the education requirements for this position.
