Summary
The Supply Planning Analyst is responsible for using standard systems and processes to perform planning transactional activities for supply, sourced from Baxter plants and external vendors to align supply to meet country/cluster demand. The person in this role works with Network Planners to mitigate short and medium-term supply and inventory issues and works with the Integrated Planning team to settle strategy for communicating gaps between inventory and customer demand to the commercial team. The role will be identifying and supervising supply risks, assessing financial impacts to healthcare, and driving country/region/clusters aligned mitigating tactics for efficient supply outcome balancing support and costs.
What will you be doing?
Developing and leading the inventory plan and execution for the market. Driving for inventory optimization opportunity analysis and deployment. Analyzing and reporting inventory variance.
Setting up, validating, and maintaining system settings for product supply routings.
Maintaining relevant ERP system (JDE), mastering data fields to allow system set up to link sources to the accurate BP (site) subject to geographies and local processes/ownership.
Driving planning transactional activities between Baxter Plants, 3rd Party Manufacturers, and Global sites, including but not limited to, creating stock transport/intercompany orders, monitoring receipts, reconciling discrepancies, providing ETAs, responding to inquiries about product availability, and mitigating short-term supply issues.
Collaborating with Network Planners and Supply (Network) Managers to implement the following:
- Supervising Mid-cycle Integrated Planning System & Distribution Requirement Planning Parameters and adjusting where necessary.
- Low cover and Back-order risk mitigation.
- Arranging stock in line with new product launches & product phase outs.
- Strategic and situational stock build planning, stock systems & data processing.
- European Transfer Planning - Consolidation of country combination shipments to achieve maximum cost efficiency, without risking disruption to supply.
- Handling 3rd Party carriers, Internal & External Stakeholders by communicating & handling transfer requirements.
- Proposing supply issue resolution for imported products and completing Market/Integrated Planning Mgr’s risk mitigation decision.
- Monitoring and rebalancing product allocation when needed in cooperation with marketing partners.
Who we are looking for
University degree preferred with 2-4 years of supply chain planning, distribution and logistics experience.
Knowledge of supply chain planning processes
Strong organizational, problem solving, and project management skills to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
Ability and willingness to learn and adapt to new processes during implementations.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, complete daily tasks on a timely basis.
Demonstrated ability to interact at multiple levels of the organization and function as a liaison with internal and external customers.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Access, ERP, and proven ability to perform sophisticated analytics.
Knowledge of JDE and Rapid Response would be an asset.
Proficient English is a must.
