Job DescriptionWHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Under general supervision, responsible for developing 12-18 month sales forecast plan and master production plan to ensure targeted customer service targets, product availability targets, network inventory levels, and working capital goals.Coordinates production plans with internal and external manufacturing plants to ensure proper product mix and desired inventory levels utilizing capacity rates, lead-time, level loading, safety days of supply, safety stock and pre-building scheduling techniques.Monitors actual production to planned production, fill rates, inventory turns inventory balances, working capital reports and responds to out-of-tolerance conditions.Determines the best metrics to use to identify and address demand and supply issues.Develops new and innovative methods of analyzing data and determines which methods to apply.Develops proactive strategies to anticipate and mitigate issues and risks with respect to product availability.Facilitates the reduction of excess inventory and the rebalancing of the network.Develops strong collaboration and relationships with manufacturing plants, demand planning, supply planning, deployment planning, logistics, product management, sales and operations, transportation and customer service to meet business goals.Proactively communicates any service issues related to stock availability, and coordinate resolution, involving all facets of planning appropriately.Identifies planning system and process improvements.May guide, provide direction, and training to less experienced team members.

QualificationsWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in Supply Chain/Logistics Management or Business Administration.Requires at least 1 year Production Planning and/or Inventory Management experienceExperience with advanced planning tools, preferably SAP APO/PP-DS a plus.Possess knowledge of Supply Chain Management.Good understanding of best practices in supply planning.Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and training skills.Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced, high volume environment.Strong analytical and problem solving skills, attention to detail, and solid Customer Relations skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
The Compensation range for this position is approximately $59k - $77k and will be based on the candidate’s qualification, experience, and education.
