Summary You will serve as a Supply Management Specialist in the Aviation Operations Department of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. The purpose of this position is to identify and evaluate supply degraders that contribute to operations and maintenance costs with the objective of reducing supply demand and therefore reducing fleet operating costs. This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD DHA to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. #LI-NAVSUPWSS Responsibilities You will serve as the principal point of contact for Cost and Demand Management. You will develop, issue, and implement NAVSUP policies, procedures, business rules, and other guidance relevant to the assigned supply chain function or area. You will ensure compliance with established processes, policies, and procedures. You will reviews new theories, concepts and strategies, resulting in continuous process improvement within the Agency. You will works with key management officials in a manner that inspires respect and confidence in the final decision. You will research and provide expert functional knowledge in the Navy Supply Chain. You will develop and monitor the implementation of Navy tactical and strategic, short, mid and long-term logistics integration plans. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) amongst designated cross-functional enterprise stakeholders to institutionalize cost and demand processes that provide visibility and solution development. (2) Executing as a management official responsible for the oversight of a contract team to assist with project management tasks assigned, and serving as a change-agent for cultural changes required to systematize and perpetuate enduring readiness improvements / demand reductions / cost savings; (3) Reviewing systems and identifying high cost/high demand items/systems and building performance to plan (P2P) actions to address demand-related abnormalities in an efficient and timely manner to reduce costs and increase readiness across an organization; (4) Leveraging enhanced analytical toolsets and methodology to accelerate opportunities and develop solution sets (Root Cause, Corrective Actions Plans - RCCAs) for procedural improvements for Naval Type/Model/Series aircraft; and/or (5) Design, compile and brief cost & demand initiatives to flag level leadership, internal and external stakeholders.
