Supply Chain Planning Co-Op

Summary:
Provides specialized knowledge and support to assist the Planning, Procurement, Logistics, and Inventory Management groups. Maintains master data and key performance indicators to support the needs of internal and external clients. Interfaces and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the goals of the Supply Chain team are achieved to the highest standards.
Essential Functions:
Specific duties will vary with availability, requirements, and priorities:
Maintain production and delivery forecasts in the MySupply systemMaintain other data in the MySupply system as requiredUpdate and maintain the Vendor Statement database to ensure all statements are current and accurateCoordinate and facilitate vendor statement requests as requiredSupport in the preparation of client inventory reportsPrepare for (and facilitate) client inventory auditsTrack relevant and accurate key performance indicators (metrics) for the Supply Chain teamContribute to process improvement projects and participate in change management activitiesMaintain a safe working environment and report potential hazardsPerform other duties/functions as requiredPerform alternating or rotating shifts (as required)REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma/General Educational Development (GED) Certificate is required.
Working towards College/Technical School diploma or University degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
Enrolled in co-op program
Experience:
Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures is an asset.
Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience is an asset.
Previous experience in data compilation and analysis is an asset.
Equivalency:
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral). Detail oriented, with the ability to analyze and interpret large data sets and problems to propose solutions. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and priorities. Works autonomously under general direction to meet project and team objectives. Proficient in Microsoft Package including Word, PowerPoint and Excel (advanced). Proficiency with the English language.
Standards and Expectations:
Follow all Environmental Health & Safety Policies and Procedures. Work collaboratively with fellow team members, modelling positive team principles and partnering to meet project and departmental objectives. Carry out all duties within strict compliance to quality SOPs and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Maintain workspace in a clean and orderly fashion. Actively engage in and adhere to departmental systems to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow (visual management, scheduling systems, etc.). Be client and patient conscious at all times. Understand Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and strive to improve the performance of the team by identifying areas for system improvements and engage in problem solving. Models positive thinking and is open to change, motivating the team to adapt to shifts in priorities and new ways of working. Proactively identify areas for improvement in the execution of procedures. Communicate risks to timelines in a proactive manner. Consistently strives to improve skills and knowledge in related field.
Physical Requirements:
Light physical effort and fatigue. Walks, sits, or stands for limited periods. May require occasional equipment operation including keyboard equipment. Lifts light items for limited duration. Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odours, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights. Use of Personal Protective equipment may be required and may include any of the following: safety glasses, safety shoes, lab coat, gloves, hair net, beard cover, safety apron, respirator on occasionally.
