Description
We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Supply Chain Planner in Vadnais Heights, Minnesota. This role will involve a range of tasks related to inventory management, supplier coordination, and data analysis within the industry.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently process and track product sample orders and coordinate vendor product returns and credits as required.
• Collaborate with various teams including sales, operations, customer service, and logistics to ensure supply plans are in line with operational capabilities and customer sales requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels regularly to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent overstocking or stockouts.
• Utilize ERP systems and analytical tools for tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing stock and usage levels, determining economic reorder points and quantities, and creating purchase orders.
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials, resolve any supply-related issues, and maintain accurate supplier data.
• Identify opportunities to improve supply chain processes and enhance efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness.
• Conduct risk assessments on supply chain processes and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptions.
• Facilitate communication between different departments to ensure alignment on supply chain strategies and goals.
• Drive cost optimization by determining the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) for products.
• Minimize the pipeline of aged, dead, and slow-moving inventory in conjunction with facility personnel.

Requirements
• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is necessary.
• Excellent customer service skills are mandatory.
• Experience in KPI Reporting is necessary.
• Understanding of logistics and its various aspects.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
• Understanding of MRP Inventory management is important.
• Proficiency in Oracle is an advantage.
• SAP skills are essential.
• Familiarity with JDE EnterpriseOne is a plus.
