The Position

Roche Diagnostics in Midrand is seeking a Supply Chain Officer to administer clearing of inbound shipments, liaise with 3PL service providers and to address any shipment anomalies and queries. Strong understanding of import and International Trade Regulation, including INCOTERMS and Customs Compliance; and Warehouse receiving processes.

The opportunity

Inbound Logistics

Facilitate import clearance by sourcing information, completing the documentation, preparing the pack of documents and submit to the service provider for clearing daily/weekly.Notify the warehouse of inbound shipments by preparing the relevant documentation and details, tracking and confirming interface, identifying  anomalies, implementing corrective action and communicating with the  3PL partner.Confirm goods received by tracking collection of goods in line with the SLA parameters, identifying risks and areas of non-compliance,  investigating causes and providing feedback.Action deviations by reviewing reasons, logging the deviation and  providing feedback on corrective action to be taken as required- within 7 working days.Administer claims by logging deviations on the global system, receiving  feedback on action to be implemented, implement corrective action and  tracking resolution in line with parameters.Administer ad-hoc import requests by completing information and  documentation, liaising with service providers and tracking movement of goods as required.

Purchasing Support

Place orders for inventory by extracting requirements from the system  or person(s) and completing the order on the system including updating delivery dates as required.Ensure that timely closure or completion of open Purchase orders from suppliers.

Reporting

Prepare reports by identifying relevant information, drawing reports  from the system and submitting as required.

Who you are

You, as an ideal candidate, will have the following skills, experience and education:

Required Qualification: NQF 5/6 in logistics or similar.Required Experience: 3 – 5 years logistics/supply chain experience  with focus on inbound logistics management, and clearing experience.Crucial Knowledge:  SARS and Incoterm regulations.Must have the ability and willingness to travel nationally and internationally.Working knowledge of SAP (MM/PU/SD), or any other major ERP System, would be an advantage.
