Supply Chain Manager
Job Title: Supply Chain ManagerJob Description We are seeking a dynamic Supply Chain Manager to develop and implement effective purchasing strategies. This role involves managing daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and ensuring tasks are efficiently allocated. The ideal candidate will expertly manage supplier relations, negotiate contracts, and maintain comprehensive records. Your coordination with inventory control will determine and manage inventory needs, while ensuring all procured items meet quality standards. You will also prepare cost estimates, manage budgets, and work to improve purchasing systems and processes. Training new employees on purchasing processes is also a key responsibility. Responsibilities + Develop and implement purchasing strategies. + Manage daily purchasing activities and supervise staff. + Allocate tasks efficiently. + Manage supplier relations and negotiate contracts, prices, and timelines. + Maintain the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation. + Coordinate with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs. + Manage the maintenance of office/manufacturing equipment and machinery. + Ensure that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications. + Prepare cost estimates and manage budgets. + Work to improve purchasing systems and processes. + Train new employees in the purchasing process and how to use the purchasing system. Essential Skills + Supply chain management + Purchasing + Reporting + Supply chain + Procurement + Excel pivot tables Additional Skills & Qualifications + Degree in business administration or a related field. + Experience as a purchasing manager or in a similar position. + Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management. + Supervisory and management experience. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software. + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. + Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills. + Strong planning and organizational skills. + Ability to work independently. Work Environment The role operates within a fast-paced office and manufacturing environment, utilizing advanced purchasing software and Microsoft Office tools. Employees typically dress in business casual attire. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
