Summary of the Job
The HR Intern plays a crucial role in supporting and managing human resources policies, procedures, and programs. This position is responsible for supporting or managing a variety of HR functions, including onboarding, training, diversity, performance management, employee engagement, leave and attendance tracking, payroll, and maintaining employee records. The role ensures compliance with labor laws and
regulations and provides internal support to employees and managers working under the direction of the human resource department leader.

Duties & Responsibilities: 
● Leads the new hire orientation and onboarding experience including scheduling, presentation of materials, creation of orientation folders, I-9 verification and compliance with location specific policies.
● Completes bi-weekly payroll audits and other payroll activities including accrual calculations, wage modifications, time clock modifications, pay corrections and other payroll activities
● Supporting timekeeping administration by creating timekeeping profiles and creating reports within the Kronos timekeeping system.
● Manages attendance tracking for the Minnetonka plant, CMS Supply Chain plants and Lab Supply team.

● Champion important communication to supply chain employees relating to benefit offerings and initiatives.
● Manages employee document integrity through file uploading and retention.

Qualifications

Education & Experience Required:
● Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required.
● 0-1 year of demonstrated experience supporting manufacturing or hourly client groups

Preferred Skills
● Effective oral and written communication skills.
● Experience working with Google Workspace.
● High level of confidentiality.
● Excellent organizational skills.
● Experience in managing cross-functional projects, implementing new processes, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
● Experience operating effectively within a Matrixed work environment

● 10% travel required to support various client groups, training and development opportunities and other business related activities.
