Supply Chain Expeditor - Westinghouse Parts Business

Supply Chain Expeditor function is essential to the success of the organization as it is a critical step in the delivery of completed products to Westinghouse. Main duties involve expediting open customer orders by working closely with external suppliers and internal buyers and engineers to ensure on-time delivery of all purchase orders.

You will provide administrative and clerical support specifically related to supply chain and procurement department activities. You will maintain files, logs, records of invoices, purchase orders and other related documentation and assist in expediting Purchase Orders and Requests for Quotes, as well as internal communications with internal stakeholders. You will assist buyers in contacting suppliers to obtain prices and schedule delivery dates. You will communicate with internal resource and suppliers to understand and document barriers to success, and attempt to remove those barriers or escalate to the appropriate resources to resolve. 

 

Day to Day:

Ensure Purchase Order delivery dates are updated weekly based on supplier feedback and obtainable in the system for Westinghouse Parts Business review.  Closely communicate with suppliers to maintain industry best On-Time delivery standards. Coordinate part requirements, document submittals, and product needs between several internal groups including Inventory, Production Planning, Engineering and Nuclear Parts Specialists. Resolve invoice issues ensuring on time payments to suppliers. Identify barriers along the various steps in the procurement process through communication with internal resources and external suppliers Work to resolve barriers or escalate issues to the appropriate resources for resolution Work with suppliers and original equipment manufacturers to create recovery plans when parts are delayed or need to be expedited to meet customer needs. 

 
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree 1-3 years of prior relevant experience in similar field Strong written and oral communications skills Self-motivated and proactive Ability to build relationships with Westinghouse’s supply base Microsoft Office Suite Previous experience using MRP systems, specifically SAP Availability to work on 2nd shift for 2 weeks per month hybrid work schedule (1 day in the Krakow office) required
