Supply Chain Continuous Improvement Manager

Job Overview

This role contributes to the SEA OE growth agenda by focusing on Supply Chain network optimization and the deployment of global supply chain priority initiatives to deliver strategic advantage to multiple geographies. Working collaboratively with diverse stakeholder groups, the role will provide global support for the Mars Supply Excellence program & the associated SC Chain digital technology elements – covering the development, deployment, embedding and continuous improvement phases. Active involvement in the Enterprise planning project which transforms Supply chain planning capability and drives seamless integration from Markets all the way to Suppliers. This role will lead the delivery of a step-change in our supply chain capabilities, hence accelerating SEA OE supply chain performance.

Provides Safe Products and a Safe Workplace

Role model the use and application of the Mars Quality Principle and the Mars Global Quality Standards and ensure regional escalation procedures are followed.

Role model the application of Mars safety standards (in particular, Supply Chain Safety) protecting our associates and our brands.

Optimizes the Supply Chain

Develop strong business relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Role Model Customer-Centric behaviors and decision making within OE Supply.

Actively work with the multiple market units and factory teams to Drive the delivery of the Enterprise Planning and Megaprojects, including gaining global approvals for projects and management of associated global funding & resourcing.

Identify and share improvement opportunities in the SC network

Represent the Market & Supply organization at a OE and global level where relevant

Support the deployment of capabilities across multiple markets and factories, assisting with the deployment of the global project, SC MSE standards, training, digital tools, systems and assessments

Support the embedding of capability across the OE.

Lead the business requirements and pain points into the Solution design in order to deliver the most optimized supply chain with internal and external parties

Partner with Mars Digital Technologies relevant developments and sprints to ensure the necessary digital capabilities are proven and ready to deploy in the OE.

Provide knowledge transfer to local teams on systems use and provide advice on testing strategies for any changes.

The role is a key focal point for communication with the Support teams and is responsible for ensuring regular slot testing and knowledge transfers occur within the OE and that the appropriate level of testing occurs for systems changes.

Contribute to the initial development and continuous improvement of MSE SC functional content, capability standards, training materials, and assessment tools, ensuring quality, rigour and engagement.

Analyses and improves Performance

Lead the business data analytics requirement and pain points into the data analytics solution in order to develop the reporting and analytics capabilities

Support Markets with the approval processes for Supply Chain projects

Support the development of appropriate local and OE solutions in response to the global supply chain transformation initiatives, through analysis and translation of the associated impacts to regional supply chain metrics.

Utilise external and internal global Supply Chain benchmarking data & knowledge to improve supply chain solutions development and deployment across the region. Share global performance initiatives and information across the OE supply community where relevant.

Support the management and approval processes for the Markets and the Supply organization for the various global supply chain transformation programs

Qualifications:

Degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, Engineering, Finance, logistics, or related fields

Minimum 5+ years' experience in Supply chain with Significant experience in Supply chain operations

Strong in Mars Business understanding

Track records in leading and engaging Large/Complex/Cross-functional/segment/country project teams

Strong systems mindset/literacy ie digitally savvy and strong learning agility with process and systems – experience with Mars existing systems landscape would be a very strong advantage

SAP knowledge (Atlas SCI, SCO preferred,OPM) functional or technical

Strong logical/analytical/financial capability with Strategic thinking ability

Lean or alternative recognised Continuous Improvement methodology knowledge

Strong communication, networking, influencing and interpersonal skills

Excellent English language skills are critical
