We are currently seeking an experienced Supply Chain Category Manager who will be responsible for the development and implementation of category and/or commodity strategies to optimize business efficiency for assigned categories, including identification, qualification and recommendation of sources of supply that ensure lowest total cost of ownership. Facilitates strategic cost management, requiring extensive cross-functional interface within the business units and corporate offices. Furnishes and presents procurement analysis and cost data for planning, budgeting, risk mitigation and other functional requirements. Responsibilities Leads strategic sourcing process across corporate and business unit sites for assigned Collaborates with functional and operational leadership to create appropriate specifications, determine prioritized objectives and strategies, assess risks, and cost/budget objectives. Monitors cost trends for key commodity groups, and reports impacts and avoidance strategies to senior Researches and evaluates suppliers based on a Total Cost of Ownership basis, including: price/cost, service standards, quality standards, capability, reliability, strategic match, etc. Responsible for managing and maintaining spend and volume analytics through lifecycle of category strategies, including forecasting, conversion and compliance, trends and other factors. Manages the full RFP process for new and existing products and services including, but not limited to, the analysis and evaluation of vendor selection and distribution. Maintains contract documents to include expiration and RFP Facilitates cross-functional communication to support the development and execution of organizational Researches new products and services and analyzes the attributes of each to determine if they support company initiatives and business plans. Studies industry publications, trade journals and market information to keep current on relevant changes in procurement and the hospitality industry. Champions contract implementation and maintains ownership through contract lifecycle. Serves as a point of escalation and partner to business units and Routinely solicits operational feedback and inspects/measures Supplier performance against obligations via QBR’s and other methods. Leads Strategic Supplier Relationship Management for assigned categories, including the assembly and maintenance of Supplier performance scorecards, action items, and challenge resolution. Informs and incorporates participation from key stakeholders and departmental leadership as required. Qualifications College degree or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in hospitality or foodservice related industries Broad understanding of Supply Chain Management and Strategic Sourcing Processes, including post award administration, with expertise in assigned categories Excellent financial analysis and forecasting skills, and deep knowledge of total cost of ownership factors Well established communication and negotiation skills Demonstrated ability to be proactive in anticipating and mitigating risk factors and operational requirements Demonstrated ability in building relationships and strategic alliances while motivating both internal teams and suppliers to meet strategic objectives Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multifunctional teams in multiple geographies to ensure cost control and process improvement strategies align with business requirements and deliver expected results Experience with Procure to Pay/Source to Pay ERP maintenance and content management Experience with blended contract strategy models, incorporating both Self-Managed and GPO solutions COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $78,000.00 to $90,000.00.
