Supplier Quality Manager
Description Primary Objective: To be the leader in end-to-end supplier quality management for electronic components and antenna assemblies. Key Responsibilities: Supplier Development and Management: -Lead the development and qualification of new/existing suppliers for electronic and antenna components to support capacity expansion and new programs -Set up quality goals and monitor failure rates in contract manufacturers -Drive suppliers to achieve consistent quality improvement and yield enhancement quarter over quarter -Develop and manage supplier quality engineer teams at contract manufacturers -Engage with sub-tier suppliers for quality reviews and corrective actions when needed Technical Quality Management: -Work with engineering teams during product development to ensure proper monitoring and closure of component issues -Anticipate and resolve quality issues affecting reliability, manufacturability, and availability of EE and antenna components -Drive supplier failure analysis capabilities improvement, including engineering resources and equipment readiness -Review and approve engineering or production changes related to electronic and antenna materials Process Development: -Establish processes and mechanisms for supplier quality improvements -Develop early warning systems to identify potential issues in new product designs, specifications, and applications -Implement systematic quality control processes for both electronic and antenna components -Create and maintain quality documentation and reporting systems Cross-functional Collaboration: -Partner with commodity management team to identify cost-reduction opportunities through quality and process improvements -Coordinate with engineering and material teams for second source qualification -Lead cross-functional teams in resolving quality issues during NPI and mass production phases Basic Qualifications Education and Experience: -Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field -7+ years' experience with 3+ years in manufacturing quality environment -GB/BB/CQE certification is a plus -EMS/ODM manufacturing experience preferred Technical Knowledge: -Electronic Components & Manufacturing: -Basic knowledge of active & passive components -Understanding of component failure analysis fundamentals -Working knowledge of SMT process and IPC standards -Ability to read basic engineering documents & circuit diagrams Antenna & RF Basics: -Basic understanding of antenna principles and RF testing -Familiarity with antenna assembly and measurement Quality Tools & Systems: -Experience with quality tools (FMEA, 8D, FAI) -Basic statistical analysis skills using Minitab -Experience in supplier quality control from qualification to MP -Understanding of CTQ/CTP in manufacturing processes Language & Communication: -Proficient in English (written and verbal) -Working knowledge of Chinese preferred -Strong communication skills Personal Attributes: -Self-motivated with analytical thinking -Results-oriented with attention to detail -Team leadership capability Preferred Qualifications Experience Preferences: -Experience in PCBA assembly process for high-volume production -Experience working with electronic component suppliers -Basic understanding of antenna manufacturing processes -Previous quality engineering experience in EMS companies -Experience in supplier management for Asia region Technical Plus Points: -Understanding of electronics manufacturing processes -Basic knowledge of PCB design and assembly -Experience in coordinating with design teams -Exposure to RF testing and measurement Certifications & Skills: -Quality certifications (GB/BB/CQE/CQM) -Project management experience -Experience with MRP/ERP systems Other Advantages: -Experience working with multinational teams -Willingness to travel within Asia region -Previous experience in leading small teams Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
