As a Supplier Quality Engineering Specialist, you will demonstrate leadership in driving qualifications and quality improvement plans for assigned suppliers. They develop positive relationships inside the company and with suppliers, working closely with Sourcing, Engineering and Manufacturing, while applying Kaizen tools and simplification.
As a Supplier Quality Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for:
Support incoming inspection and/or production floor in returning defective material tothe appropriate supplier. Write and/or disposition non-conforming material reports
(NCR.) Maintain Return to VendorProviding technical guidance to suppliers to ensure product/process compliance with
engineering drawings, specifications, Waygate quality requirements. Participate within MRB (Management Review Board) meetings.Execute supplier quality activities including issues resolution (SCAR), supplier
qualifications (incl. use of ESQM tool), process control and quality assurance of
purchased materials.Monitor and drive for Cost of Quality (COQ) reduction for supplier related defects.Drive CoQ recovery from suppliers.Work collaboratively with the Incoming Inspection quality teams.Write and track engineering modification orders (EMOs) for first piece qualifications
and deflation/improvement projects.Communicate with suppliers regarding defective product.

To be successful in this role you will:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Sourcing).Quality or manufacturing background with at least 1 year of experienceKnowledge of quality tools and ISO9001 QMS requirementsStrong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to work independently. Strong problem solving skills.Demonstrated project management skillsProblem solving techniques.Ability to cope with multiple complex situations on a daily basis.Additional Requirements:
