**About this role**
The Supplier Quality Engineer ensures the quality of raw materials and/or components from suppliers through product and/or process qualification activities, using quality tools such as Core Tools and GD&T. They work with suppliers to improve their performance by applying preventive and corrective actions and evaluating their effectiveness.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Coordinate the resolution of quality issues on the floor attributable to suppliers through quality methodologies, containment, and corrective actions.
+ Ensure containment on the production floor and warehouses due to supplier quality issues.
+ Participate during the development or changes of products based on quality and product engineering requirements and expectations to qualify new parts and/or suppliers.
+ Ensure that the supplier base maintains statistical quality control for our critical characteristics, under the process certification methodology and/or Six Sigma.
+ Manage and reduce the inventory of the plant's quarantine warehouses.
+ Provide feedback to the operations and supply area through reports, meetings, corrective actions, and/or scorecards on the overall performance of suppliers in a timely manner.
+ Visit suppliers for problem analysis and validation of actions.
+ Ensure compliance with the supplier quality manual.
+ Ensure compliance with the PPAP plan for new and legacy products.
**Requirements**
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing processes of HVAC, electronics, and the metalworking industry.
+ Degree in Automation and Controls Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Mechanical Administration Engineering, Mechanical Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
+ Advanced English.
+ Personnel supervision.
+ Statistical process control.
+ Knowledge in PPAP and Core Tools.
+ Problem-solving methodology.
+ Knowledge in Six Sigma, GD&T (desirable).
+ Experience in HVAC, electrical industry.
+ Valid visa and passport.
