WHO YOU ARE
Perform Supplier Quality Engineering duties in support of the Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) supplier quality organization on mechanical/electro-mechanical subcontract and
commodity procurements. Requires close coordination with Sourcing, Program Quality, Engineering and Program Office functions.
Reviews and identifies program contractual and product drawing requirements and applies the
applicable quality flow-down requirements to part masters and purchase orders. Makes
recommendations on supplier selection based on cost, inspection of facilities, risk assessments,
and historical performance.
Travel to suppliers is required; travel frequency will vary based on program requirements and supplier performance. Travel is primarily
domestic, but can be international on occasion.
Responsible for basic quality services including:
• supplier evaluation and selection
• verification of special process sources
• part/product acceptance inspection planning
and verification
• supplier manufacturing process and quality
plan review
• defect root cause analysis and corrective action
verification
• supplier oversight, including development and
execution of credible Return-To-Green plans
• fostering positive working relationships with
internal cross-functional teams and LM suppliers

Basic Qualifications:
• Ability to evaluate manufacturing process
quality plan
• Ability to perform defect data trend analysis;
ability to make rational, risk-based decisions
• Ability to perform root cause analysis
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced,
dynamic environment with changing priorities
within a cross-functional team, as well as
independently with suppliers
• Working understanding of mechanical/electro-mechanical hardware and associated
manufacturing processes and inspections
• Working familiarity with ISO9001 & AS9100
Quality Management Systems, including AS9102
First Article Inspection requirements.
Desired Skills:
• Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
background and/or experience
• Experience with RF devices and associated
technologies is preferable, but not a must
• Familiarity with SPC-based data analysis
• Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma concepts
• Ability to read engineering drawings with GD&T
(Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Experience with P2P (SAP) and EPDM systems
• Solid written & oral communication skills

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $81,600 - $143,865. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
