Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of supplier assessments, drive both corrective and preventive actions based on supplier maturity and performance levels. Each day, you will manage operational supplier quality, both on-site and off-site, ensuring the thorough execution of supplier qualification and development processes. You will also showcase your expertise by managing the supplier’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).The work model for the role is: #LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Motion business NEMA Motors division in Rajkot, India.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tDriving approval process for supplier parts, materials, and project subcontractor services, as applicable, involving collaboration with other functions/experts, encompassing activities like Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and product surveillance at supplier manufacturing sites.•\tLeading in promptly addressing supply issues related to quality, deliveries, non-compliant products, or project services.•\tWorking together with buyers to engage suppliers and prepare claims cases when necessary.•\tEnsuring required supplier development processes are thoroughly executed to drive continuous improvement of the supplier base.

Qualifications for the role

\tA degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience) is preferred, but hands-on experience and the right attitude are what count.\tSomeone who enjoys supplier management activities, from qualifications and audits to performance monitoring, and knows how to drive results.\tFamiliarity with Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus, but more importantly, you’re eager to learn and apply these approaches to make processes better.\tStrong cross-functional communication skills with the ability to influence and align both internal and external stakeholders.\tTechnical understanding of castings is helpful but not essential, as long as you have the desire to learn and grow in this area.\tFrequent Travel – 50-70%
