Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the material development and approval of new product projects of switchgear to ensure the process reliability, quality requirements and cost-effectiveness of batch materials. The work model for the role is: onsite.This role is contributing to the Electrification business area.You will be mainly accountable for:Material Development•\tCollaborate closely with R&D, production, quality, and procurement departments to ensure the smooth progress of material development•\tResponsible for the design for manufacturability (DFM) of materials, determine the manufacturing process and production process of materials;•\tResolve technical issues encountered during material development;•\tAssess potential risks in the material development process and take response measures;•\tCollaborate with suppliers to ensure material manufacturability and production efficiency;•\tCooperate with the quality department to develop the quality control process of the material to ensure that the material meets the quality requirements in the production process;•\tOrganize and establish pre-delivery verification items for materials to ensure compliance with product design requirements;•\tAnalyze material costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction;Material Approval •\tOrganize and execute the material approval process to ensure materials meet design and quality requirements;•\tTrack the entire material approval process to ensure project timelines are met•\tEvaluate suppliers' quality control plans.
Qualifications for the role\tBachelor degree or above, major in materials, mechanical or electrical related.\tIndustry experience, more than 3 years of working experience in material development or related fields, familiar with material development and approval process. material development experience in switchgear, machinery, automobile and other industries is preferred\tFamiliar with the performance, specifications and applications of commonly used materials.\tFamiliar with common manufacturing processes (such as injection molding, stamping, machining, etc.), understand their advantages, disadvantages and scope of application.\tTesting ability, familiar with materials performance testing, reliability testing and other methods.\tCost control, with the ability of material cost analysis and optimization, and be able to propose effective cost control schemes\tBe familiar with AutoCAD, Solidworks etc.\tBe familiar with PLM/ ERP system\tBe familiar with FMEA etc. quality tools.\tBe familiar with DFM/ DFA process.\tAbility to communicate in English, both written and oral.\tProblem Solving Skills\tHave strong problem analysis and solving ability, able to deal with various challenges in material development and approval process\tCommunication and collaboration skills\tHave good communication and cooperation skills, able to work effectively with suppliers and internal departments.\tTeam player, able to work closely with team members to achieve project goals.\tHighly responsible, self-motivated and Willing to take on additional tasks.\tHas a positive progressive attitude under pressure to work.
