Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Production Controller - NDT Division in the Quality Assurance Office at PSNS and IMF. Responsibilities You will review new work requests for the Shop or Project for availability of required skill levels and work force and recommend acceptance/rejection. You will determine facility/equipment requirements and availability. You will conduct risk assessment of new work requests and identify needed assist trades. You will represent the Shop or Project in workload forecasting, and the establishment and maintenance of the Shipyard Workload and Resource Report (WARR). You will coordinate use of a standardized workload and resource forecasting process throughout the shops and projects to better forecast and predict Shop or Project needs as related to manning, facilities, equipment, tooling, etc. You will manage, through subordinate supervisors, overall Shop or Project manning requirements. You will evaluate short- and long-term work schedules to identify and coordinate training, medical qualification, and work qualification requirements. You will consider future workload requirements in making personnel assignments to develop personnel skills and qualifications to meet future needs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, scheduling, and/or administering funds for ship or submarine repair projects and resolving production obstacles (e.g. delays, scheduling conflicts, lack of sufficient materials, faulty processes, labor shortages, skilled trade imbalances).
